All organisations are striving to increase their competitive advantage. Why is it that some seem to have more advantage than others?

As you can see where you are on the curve will have a big impact your ability to compete. Businesses such as Tesco, Apple, Toyota will all be operating in the Market Defining area, so leading their respective markets. Sainsbury’s have recently moved into the middle space and are taking share from ASDA. And ‘me too’ businesses are in the bottom left corner hoping the market’s own dynamics will carry it along.
